Outstanding selection, service, and above all, weekly tastings. I've discovered more house-favorite wines here than anywhere else because of the Saturday tastings, which always have at least one wine I want to buy. Alex and his team are friendly, knowledgeable, and show none of the snobbiness and disdain for lower-priced bottles that I've seen at Marty's and elsewhere.

I've always loved Berman's. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and they stock amazing beers and wines! And I love them even more since the pandemic. It's nice to see a business that takes care of its employees and protects their health while keeping things going in a kind and efficient manner.

If you're looking for great sections at good prices, look no further! Stopped into Bermans last weekend and was WOWed by their selection of beers and wine. We looked primarily at the beeers and there was definitely something for everyone, including the craft beer aficionados out there. Definitely stop by and check them out! Youll find it hard to limit which ones you buy and try!

This is the place to go if you're trying to find something, particularly wine, that you can't find elsewhere in the area. An internet search for some difficult to find Eastern European wines led me here, and it did not disappoint. The selection is very well laid out. The focus is wine, but they have a fairly large selection of craft beers in the back as well as a smaller section for liquor. It isn't necessarily someplace I'd go to buy items I can easily find elsewhere, because I noticed the prices on some of those bottles were about 20% above what I might typically pay elsewhere. I didn't chat much with the staff here except during checkout, because I knew exactly what I wanted and found it easily, but from watching them with other customers, it was obvious they were friendly and helpful. Shopping here was a very enjoyable experience.

Looking back on my life, I try to recognize where I've been wrong and take the time to admit it. I was taking a stroll down yelp memory lane when I noticed my not-so-rosy review of Berman's and immediately felt horrible, because several moves and many years later Berman's is now my go-to bottle shop and I LOVE IT. I'm sorry guys. I was wrong. I don't know what my problem was in 2009, but I doubt it was actually you. I am pretty sure it was that my ex was a pretentious you-know-what and I didn't realize it, and we all do dumb things for love, right? So let me make this right. Great selection of wine and beer to satisfy most tastes, great prices on excellent bottles, lots of yummy specialty foods to bring to a party (or just take home and eat all by yourself, no judgement). Super helpful and friendly service by knowledgeable folks. Regular tastings and the occasional block party just for fun! Love you guys. Sorry I was a jerk.

I love these guys! Love love love 'em! I go here to replenish my wine rack. I'm no wine connoisseur, I just like to drink them. They have a decent selection of wine from all over the world. I usually have a hard time choosing one from the other. I've been known to spend an hour just deciding on 6 bottles. A whole afternoon for a dozen! So then I started to just scan the inventories and grab the bottles that only have a handful left. I figured other people must've liked this and that, so they must be quaffable. But..... Berman's not only makes it easier for me, I also get to learn a little about the wine I'm about to buy. They write descriptions on a lot of wine (not just a handful), and say something like "terrific wine for your wallet". Sold! Then I go home to my husband and pretend like I know what I'm talking about. My favorite though is the staff's recommendations. They're across from the check-out counter. I bought a bottle that was recommended by "Adam" (I think it was Adam)....I wish I had taken a picture of the bottle before it went to the recycling bin because it was really really good. These guys are awesome! Last time I was there, one of the guys saw I brought in a bag from a different liquor store. He whipped out a bag and said, "You got one of ours?" I said nope, and he simply gave it to me. Why thank you very much sir. Their bags are bigger than the typical wine bags. I have several bags from other liquor stores that can only fit 4 or 6 bottles. Berman's bags can fit 12, not that I've tried because I will probably break the handles and the bottom.....what a mess that would be, but 8 bottles easily.

They have craft beer on sale - 40% off - when it's "out of season". I went today and stocked up on all sorts of winter ales, 10 huge bottles for around $50. They even carried it to my car for me so I could wheel my kid safely through the parking lot in my ankle-crushing stroller. What else, what else, what else... They do tastings for beer on Fridays and wine on Saturdays, have an excellent email that goes out weekly describing specials, and even offer a discount when you buy 6 bottles of craft beer at regular price. Basically, if you drink as much as I do, your dollar will stretch further at Berman's Wine and Spirits. Got a fake id? Don't try to use it at Berman's - they have a fancy scanner that can easily detect fakes.

Well stocked beer cooler, running the gamut from snooty down to swill and back up again. More than meets ones needs, whether slumming it for a lost weekend with 40s of Schlitz and pounders of Ballantine, or trying to impress the Lady Friend's father with something pretentious and obscure. Bonus points for: a) just-over-the-border location on the Arlington/Lexington line. Now you too can feel like a bootlegger smuggling twelve packs over the line (even though Arlington has seemingly relaxed its Blue Laws, it still feels illicit) Bonus points for: b) the giant neon "DRIVE IN" sign with an arrow pointed around towards the back of the store. Minus points for: c) nearly causing me to total my Lady Friend's car whipping around the corner of the store only to be greeted by the wall like detritus of a back alley. No drive in! - dashing my hopes of experiencing my first ever drive through liquor store experience, and nearly dashing the car to pieces.

Another awesome liquor store. As I've said in the past...I'm a big fan of beer and this place has a great selection. I'd put them right up there with Downtown Wine & Spirits in Davis Square. They have just about anything you could ask for as well as very knowledgeable people to help guide you through a tough decision. In addition to the beer, they have a great wine selection. I believe they do tastings of both wine and beer throughout the week.
